  • Yoga Classes

I offer yoga therapy, group classes and one on one sessions in my private studio in mid-town Toronto as well as special group programs at various locations.

I was drawn to yoga and meditation while supporting a dying relative. Gratitude for these supportive teachings led me to full-time study and a life of teaching, beginning in 1998. I taught group classes to a wide variety of communities like: Toronto Dominion Bank, University of Toronto, Verity women’s club, book clubs, stock brokers, horseback riders and caregivers.

In 2004, I discovered viniyoga – appplication of the core principles created stability in my SI joint, and I discovered a wealth of deeper teachings to explore. My enthusiasm led me to acclaimed yoga teacher, therapist and author, Gary Kraftsow of The American Viniyoga ™ Institute: my teacher certification through AVI was granted in 2006 and certification as a yoga therapist granted in 2009.

I apply yoga therapeutically, teach classes and privates to students who are injured, young, strong, older and wiser, from the west and the east, suffering and joy filled. This has been my delight for fifteen years.

When I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2006, I felt lost and frightened. I went to see my long-time, yoga teacher Judith and together we worked on a specific routine for breathing, exercise and meditation. This became my special time each day. The breathing, counting and exercise somehow energized me and the meditation which gradually increased in time, quieted me. My yoga practice added greatly to my sense of well being during a difficult winter.

Yoga gave me a sense of balance, it contributed to positive feelings physically, mentally and emotionally. It gave me the strength to carry on. I truly learned the value of focus, discipline and a good practice.
