There is a quiet beauty to winter.  Quiet, subtle, yet breathtaking.  The icicles, the magnificence of the blue sky, sparkling snow, patterns of frost on windows, the glimpse of a cardinal, the gentle sounds of branches covered in ice moving gently in the wind.  Yet it’s easy to get lost in the heaviness and the work of winter, because that is there too.
